About This Conference

Composites at Lake Louise (CALL) is a unique forum for exploring the state-of-the-art and future challenges pertaining to complex materials systems, ranging from structural composites to multi-functional materials used in device technological, engineering, and biomedical applications.

CALL strives to bring together researchers with diverse and multi-disciplinary expertise in an inspiring venue nestled in the spectacular Canadian Rockies.  Here invitees share, discuss, and learn about the latest innovations, discoveries, and scientific quests.

For CALL 2019, we invite the submission of abstracts covering a broad range of crosscutting topics, including the design, formulation, synthesis, fabrication, characterization, and performance assessment of complex materials systems.  The objective of the CALL conference is to assemble leading experts from diverse disciplinary fields who represent emerging fields of study that rely on innovative deployments of complex materials systems and novel materials design concepts for achieving next generation functionality.

The conference promotes immersive deliberations with the intents to accelerate forward thinking in current focal areas of science and technology related to complex materials systems and composites.  These areas could include materials for structurally integrated energy conversion and storage, more sustainable processing and materials options, sensing and health monitoring, mechanics of complex systems, and materials design for biomedical applications.  At this time, comprehensive submissions are encouraged with the intent of identifying arising materials challenges and emerging fields of study.

General Information about ECI

Engineering Conferences International (ECI) is a global engineering conferences program, originally established in 1962, that provides opportunities for the exploration of problems and issues of concern to engineers and scientists from many disciplines.

The format of the weeklong research conference provides morning and late afternoon or evening sessions in which major presentations are made. Available time is included during the afternoons for ad hoc meetings, informal discussions, and/or recreation. This format is designed to enhance rapport among participants and promote dialogue on the development of the meeting. We believe that the conferences have been instrumental in generating ideas and disseminating information to a greater extent than is possible through more conventional forums.

All participants are expected both to attend the entire conference and to contribute actively to the discussions. The recording of lectures and presentations is forbidden. As ECI conferences take place in an informal atmosphere, casual clothing is the usual attire.

The Engineering Conferences International conferences calendar and other information can be found on the ECI web site:
